Foraging
Touching, reaching searching
in the forest of never
where if you don't take a leap, dreams fall away to the wayside
but it's so hard, so risky, so reckless
to stretch for the dream, the writing, the heart,
when there is a house
a mortgage,
three boys,
carsyardswateringworkingstrugglingdaytodaytodayhoursaway
What happened to me?
an echo.

An echo of hope I see in this. Crying out for a future which will happen if we live that long.
Glad you're back.
wow... I hope you're still here... I don't know where you come from but you are an echo of my thoughts and of my soul... I've only looked at a few of your posts and I'm hooked already... thank you for your thoughts... I hope this can be the start of a great meeting... you seem like one of our kind of people... where if you don't take a leap, dreams fall away...
will add you to my list of sites to visit daily... so strong and true... across all this space and time... so glad to have met you...
JON
p.s.
how did you fall through my site???
I love what you write too... kindred spirits have that tendency of finding one another...
And no one can be an island all their own... the waves that lap on those shores bring us together...
I hope you will be a part of our/my/your community...
Well met my friend...
JON

You'd love the words of the Crow!
wow Jon is absolutely right... you are really an echo...
the echo of that collective soul
living within us all
i came to your blog to see who this Echo is who has echoed in my blog...
and read some of your poems and was so excited...
in this post i loved the way you echoed the daily torture of the Sisyphus part of our being...
will come and read more...
and forget that mentor business mentioned by my dearest friend Jon... we are just a bunch of friends... singing and dancing round a fire on a shore... and now we have a new voice among us... an echo... who helps us to 'leap'...
so glad...
Those last 2 lines hit me hard. It made me wonder in my own life--what happened? But Echo, it comes back, just like the sound of your voice.
echo echo echo....oh my
sometimes all I can think to say is thank you when their words ring like yours have.
*sigh*
I'll be around for more...and you archives too, me thinks
I so relate!
Maybe we are the same, you are saying the thoughts that are in my head, if we sound the same and would say the same things, maybe we are sharing a consciousness. I love your poetry, it's magnificent and something we all relate to. Hugs.
Thanks for stoppping by my blog.
Your writing is definately a breath of fresh air; so true and real. An echo of hope.
ps - i'm pretty sure the jelly shoes don't taste so great, although i'm not entirely certain i would want to find out for sure (;
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
As you say so beautifully, we're all echoes, aren't we ....
