Eight days

Eight days into a new year
and nothing
bad has happened
I hold hope
for glory
sunshine
rainbows
and plenty of excitement
no wrecks
no death and
plenty of money.

My resolution is
to finish 2009 without being as tired of it as I am of 2008

it's just a number... a state of mind... something we made up to delineate something imagined from something hoped...

I'm one of those who thinks that if it's not alright now then no turning of pages of a calender will change anything...

i wish these words to find you well...

take care Echo...

Although I agree with Hopper's wise philosophy--

2008 was like a bridge that was swaying wildly, and we jumped off just before it fell...

Good to see you back!

I had a "66 Galaxy. Transmission went in Cincinnati. I got it fixed and dumped the car for a black '64 GTO convertible!
The boys will love working on your car; buy them some tools and watch the fun. It is infinitely fixable by normal humans as compared to todays computerized everything.

I just found a Carl Sandburg quote which you may appreciate:

"Poetry is an echo asking a shadow to dance"

Shadow

I join you in these wishes
but as the economy sinks into the sunset of my years
I pray the new regieme can actually pull us out of this mess
and soon
before
I topple over
the edge of the sunset
